About Pamela Machala
“Pamela Machala artfully turns a phrase and yet still manages to make us dance...[her] piano-rich gems are in the storyteller vein of Ben Folds and Sara Bareilles, yet they are distinctly hers.” - Colorado Daily
Colorado-based singer, songwriter, and pianist Pamela Machala (“MOCK-uh-luh”) is known for her finely crafted pop-folk songs. With influences ranging from jazz and soul to musical theater, Pamela’s songwriting combines boldly vulnerable lyrics, clever turns of phrase, feelgood funky grooves, and a distinctive blend of melancholy, hope, and goofiness.
Pamela’s songs have received the Grand Prize in the SongDoor International Songwriting Competition, as well as Honorable Mentions in the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriter Contest and American Songwriter Magazine Lyric Contest. Pamela has performed at venues ranging from The Bitter End in NYC to The Hotel Utah in San Francisco, and has opened for artists including Lisa Loeb and Danielle Ate The Sandwich. Her all-female backing band creates a dynamic and memorable live experience, featuring Mary Claxton on drums, Adrienne Osborn on bass, Amanda Morin on electric guitar, and Kate Farmer and Lyla Yaner on vocals.
Pamela's most recent project is a 5-song acoustic EP with award-winning songwriter, audio engineer and producer Kyle Donovan. The latest single from the EP, “They're Not You,” is available now on all platforms.
About Ingrid Avison
A loyal sojourner of human emotional landscapes, Ingrid Avison traverses the sonic and lyrical canyons, and skylines of her internal world. Avison’s natural hunger to experience her own inner wilderness booms, aches and howls into her music–each song, each performance an invitation to awaken the explorer within each of us. Do you dare?
Avison welds together poetry with bluntness, glitter with tears. Is it possible to sing of death, time travel and IUDs in the same set? Avison says ‘yes’ while seamlessly delivering hooky, genre-bending soul-pop with raw and soaring vocals.
Avison lives in a world of secrets, her music a sonic window into the alchemy of her heart's stretchmarks. It’s no surprise that in her “free” time, Avison moonlights as an official “secret-keeper"-- a grief and trauma therapist. She sees this role as yet another avenue for her to accompany others alongside their soul’s journey.
